FAQ

What does “grass-fed finished tallow” mean, and why does it matter?

It means better for the cows — and your skin.

Grass-fed finished tallow comes from cattle raised entirely on grass, which makes the fat richer in nutrients like Omega-3s and vitamins A, D, E, and K. It’s what makes our balms so deeply nourishing.

What’s the difference between whipped and solid tallow?

Just the texture — the benefits are the same.

Whipped tallow is aerated to create a light, fluffy texture that spreads easily and absorbs quickly. Solid tallow is denser and richer, offering a more concentrated feel and slower melt. Both are equally nourishing — it simply comes down to how you prefer your balm to feel on your skin.

How long does one jar last?

A little goes a long way.

For face-only use, a 2 oz jar can last 1–2 months. For daily use on both face and body, it typically lasts 2–4 weeks.

Does it leave a greasy or oily finish?

Only for a moment — then it melts right in.

The balm may feel rich at first, but once warmed in your palms and massaged into the skin, it absorbs beautifully without a heavy finish.
